Rumor Has It....(Volume 1)

Rumor has it that Johnny Depp will be playing "The Riddler" in the sequel
to "The Dark Knight", "The Caped Crusader" ( I think it'll be called that).
Sounds interesting. This "rumor has it....", & I'll see you next time.

Coming Soon!

A new series (I don't know how long the series will last) is coming to My blog.
It's called "Rumor has it....", it's pretty much rumors of movies & games (don't
worry, there's nothing offensive).

G Man's top four games that should be made into movies

With the up-coming "Max Payne" movie coming out, I think I should make My top four
games that I think they should make. I'm only doing four because there's not many games
that have good storys that could lend themselves to a movie. Okay, let's get started!

4:"Ratchet & Clank"

In case you don't know what the plot of the "Ratchet & Clank" series, I'll
tell you. It's a space comedy about a mechanic called "Ratchet"(He's a
member of a fictional race known as the "Lombax") & His robot side
kick, clank, stopping villains from taking over the universe & crap like
that. The only reason why I kept playing them is because of the comedy,
witch means it could be a great comedy movie. It could be the "Buckaroo Banzai"
of our time ( & yes, I mean that as a good thing)! Besides, even if
it bombs at the box office, it's defiantly got the makings of an instant cult
classic ( if you know Me well, you should know that I'm a sucker for cult
classics).

3:"Jak & Daxter"

The ONLY reason why I kept playing the "Jak & Daxter" games
is the story. The story's to complicated to explain. See plot
description here.

2:"Uncharted- Drake's Fortune"
The plot of "Uncharted" is about Nathan Drake ( yes, he's a
decedent of Sir Francis Drake) looking for the treasure
of Sir Francis Drake & along the way, the main characters
meet up with pirates who also want the treasure. In other words,
it's pretty much a modern day "Indiana Jones". This could
make a good movie because it doesn't just have action, it
has well written characters that could save it from being
another crappy video game movie.

1: "Sly Cooper- The Motion Picture"
In 2002, Sucker Punch won the game award for "Best New
Game Character" for Sly Cooper. What's "Sly Cooper"? I'll
tell you. Born into a family of thieves, the Cooper clan keep
there secrets of stealing in ancient book, the thievius raccoonus.
When Sly turns eight years old, a gang attacks & kills his
parents. The gang then takes the thievius racconus. Sly is
then sent to an orphanage where he meets his soon-to-be
life long friends, Bentley & Murray. Ten years later, Sly &
his friends decide to take back the thievius raccoonus &
avenge his family's death all while avoiding interpol.
In other words, it would be a children's film with mild
crime thriller elements, pretty original. The main reason
it should be made into movie is because of the well written
characters. Sucker Punch has a gift for well written characters.

That's about it, see ya.

My skeptisism of the up-coming "Max Payne" movie

If You're a gamer & You're into movies, odds are You've heard about the up-coming
"Max Payne" movie. Although, I'm a bit skeptical, I'll tell You why.

When I saw the trailer for "Max Payne", My first reaction was "Why? Why are they making,
of all things, a "Max Payne" movie?" Was there a voting poll on a video game blog begging
for the game have it's own big-screen adaptation? Don't get Me wrong, "Max Payne" is
well known by gamers, but it's not pop cultural icon. Did some studio executives really
just look at games like "Halo", "Grand Theft Auto", "Assassin's Creed" & " Metal Gear
Solid" & decide to just make a movie out a game with a cult following?

Another problem I have is that the film doesn't seem to explain why Max is hell-bent
on killing criminals. Just watch the trailer here. If You've just seen the trailer, I'll
point out some other reasons why I'm skeptical. First, I don't like the idea of skipping
the back story & character development & just starting the action scenes instantly.
It's like filmmakers think every one knows who Max Payne is & the movie should just
skip any thing important. Like I said earlier, "a game with a cult following". In other
words, since most people haven't heard of "Max Pane", the filmmakers should explain
the character's back story. In case You don't know the plot of "Max Payne", I'll tell You
the basic premise. Max Payne is an ex-cop who's family is brutally murdered & He is
framed. He then decides to kill the mobsters responsible & sets out for revenge against
the murderers & all criminals in He comes across. I know, it's stock & has been used in
many movies, but that would be a good thing because it would be a video game movie
playing like....a movie!Another problem is that there's super-natural plot elements in
it. (First) as far as I know, the game didn't have super-natural themes. (& second)That &
super-natural movies & crime thriller movies don't go well together. What are the super-
natural themes? I'll tell You. Apparently, all hell brakes loose(literally) & some flying
monsters that look like the Moth man show up attacking people.

Although, on the bright side, Mark Wahlberg is staring in the film as the title character.
He's not a big name actor, but He's at least a known actor witch is a good sign for video
game movies. It's a good thing because some one who's an experienced actor is willing
to star in it. That, & He looks like Max Payne.

See what I mean?

In closing, this movie might be good, But I'm not totally sure.
That's about it, see ya.

ROBOCOP trailers

Because of the remake coming out, I decided to put the trailers of the first three movies on here.
Enjoy!

"ROBOCOP" Remake Confirmed!!!!

The film was confirmed at this year's Comic Con. The remake of the Paul Verhoeven Classic
will be directed by Darren Aronofsky. Now, I was hoping for a "ROBOCOP 4", but this should
be satisfy Me. Expect a 2010 release. A few weeks before the film comes out, You should also
expect My reviews on the first three films. It probably won't be better than the first film, but
I'm still gonna see it. -See article at "G4.com" here

"Harry Potter 6" trailer

It's looking awesome!!!!

"Buckaroo Banzai" trailer

Remember I told You that I think they should make a sequel to "Buckaroo
Banzai"? In case You don't know what that is, here's the trailer.

Survivor concert-"I'm Not That Man Any More"

The title says it all.

The Making of "Sly Cooper"

The making of one of My favorite games of all time.

G man reviews "Sly 3:Honor Among Thieves"

"Sly 3" is one of the most over rated games I have ever played & You are going to
find out why....

STORY
The story in this game bull s#*t. It takes place a year after "Sly 2", Bentley is now
in wheel chair due to the event in "Sly 2". But the real story is about Sly trying to
find the Cooper vault, where His has been storing there loot. Although, "Dr.M"
has already made a fortress surrounding the vault & now Sly needs to get His
team back together as well getting new team members. Not only does the story
in game have a bad plot, it has poorly developt characters. I don't like these
characters, they over power the playability of Sly. Not to mention, these guys
are annoying. You'll be better off reading "Sly Cooper" internet
fan fiction!

GAME PLAY
The game play SEEMS to play like "Sly 2", but it's dropped the complex mission
structure of the second game & goes for more of a platformer. You may be
wondering if that's a bad thing, it is. Lets not forget the graphics, at
first they look good, but they go to waste because of the mediocre art
design. While the first two games had a film noir look to them, this one is so
bright & colorful that makes "The Yellow Submarine" look dark & depressing.
One of the worst missions in the game is "Operation: wedding Crasher", in this
mission You have to use an RC car to sneak past security lights, why can't Sly
just sneak through ? Sly's supposed to sneak around, He may as well in this
mission. And problem with the game is that You get to play as Carmelita fox,
yes, You get to play as a cop in a thief game. That's like if in "GTA", You got
play as a cop.... FANS WOULD BE PISSED BEYOND BELIEF!

ENDING (Spoilers!!!!) I'll tell You the ending (or,You could watch the
ending down below).Apparently, Sly is injured in
a fight with Dr.M, then Carmelita comes & defeats Dr.M. But ,
whoops! Sly lost His memory from the injurries! So Carmelita
tells Sly that He's "Constable Cooper", Her partner. So the moral
is if You are a thief, but You loose You're memories, they won't
press charges against You. Why? Because Sly Cooper says it's OKAY!

HITS
It's fun

MISSES
Lame story
Lame new characters
Voice acting feels phoned in
Bland art design & graphics
Mediocre music
Difficulty switches from easy to impossible constantly

OVER ALL:Despite all I said, I don't hate this game, I'm just nit picking.
Besides, this game already has enough praise. I give "Sly 3: Honor
Among Thieves" a "Good Seven out of Ten".

"We built this city" by Starship-Music Video of the Week

Top Ten Movies & Games I Want Them To Make

1o: "Dirty Harry:The Video Game"

You may remember that in 2006, EA released a trailer
for a "Dirty Harry" video game with Clint Eastwood
playing Harry Callahan again.Sadly, it's been canceled.

9: "Dirty Harry 6"

I don't have much to say other than Clint Eastwood
should write , direct & star in a new "Dirty Harry"
movie.

8:"Robocop 4"

It would be cool to see Robocop again, just don't
make Robocop a CGI character & don't make it
PG-13, make it "hard R".

7:"Death Wish"
Supposedly, Sylvester Stallone will be directing &
staring in a remake of "Death Wish".Now, because
the first film is irrelevant, it'll probably be more
of a shoot-em-up.

6:"Buckaroo Banzai Against The World Crime league"
If You remember the end of the first "Buckaroo
Banzai", it announces a sequel, "Buckaroo
Banzai Against The World Crime League". Sadly,
it wasn't made.

5:"Lethal Weapon 5"

You should NEVER have a crappy ending to a
great film series, that's why they should make
"Lethal Weapon 5".

4:"Mad Max 4:Fury Road"
This movie is being made, but it's just on
the list because I can't wait for it. Only
problem, Mel Gibson won't star in it.

3:"inFAMOUS"
Much like "Mad Max 4", this is just on the
list because I can't wait for it to come out.

2:"Indiana Jones 5"
The new "Indiana Jones" was better than "Temple of
Doom", but I think it wasn't a good way to end the
series.Although, George Lucas said He'll make a
fifth film depending on the success of the most
recent film.

1: "SLY 4"

Like I said,"NEVER end a great series with
a crappy ending". Sadly, "Sly 3: Honor
Among Thieves" did not listen to this
credo (You can find the ending on You-
tube). One time, I found a wikipedia
article about an upcoming game,"Sly 4:
Power of Thieves". I didn't care how
stupid the title sounded, I was excited
to the point to where I was jumping up
& down, then I learned it was a hoax.
Although, the guys at Sucker Punch
said that they would make a forth
game eventually , so there's hope
yet.

I hope You enjoyed this list, I'm the G-Man & have great day!

What movies NOT to see!

Every year, We all go to the movies to enjoy ourselves , but I have found three
movies Not to see this year.

3: "Star Wars:The Clone Wars". It's animated & it's a spin off on the crappy "Star
Wars " prequel trilogy. Do I need to say any thing else about why not to see it?

2: "The Day The Earth Stood Still". Not only it's a remake of a classic, but it
doesn't even have anti-war themes....or at least that's what I'm told. I know that the first film is irrelevant,
But the film makers couldn't put in anti-war themes based on the war we
are in now?

1: "Disaster Movie". Do I need to say why not to see it?!? It's from the guys
who made "Meet the Spartans", that's why not to see it!Don't expect My review on this film!!!!
