Upcoming movies

Recently, I was on IMDB looking at the upcoming movies. The list consisted of films like
"Watchmen", "Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince", "Maniac Cop 4", "The Spirit"-
Wait a second!!!! "Maniac Cop 4"? Yeah, I'm not joking, Larry Cohen ,
(the writer & producer of the "Maniac Cop" series) & William Lustig (The director
of the "Maniac Cop" movies) have recently gained rights for a fourth movie. Why
would they get to work on something that has a following of, like, eleven people?
Okay, so Hollywood won't work on "Buckaroo Banzai 2", but they'll do "Maniac
Cop 4"?!?

Rumor Has It....(Volume 3)

Rumor has it that Universal will be making "Jaws 5" (I hope it stays a rumor).
Although, if they do make it, I'll make some suggestions for the film. (1) That
it's a direct sequel to "Jaws 2". (2) That Richard Dreyfuss could reprise the
role of Matt Hooper. (& 3) That M. Night Shyamalan could direct the film.
He'd have a great sense of suspense.

G Man's top three movies to keep an eye on

#3: "Eagle Eye"

It's rare when I'm excited for a movie when it only mention who's producing,
but Steven Spielberg is an exception.

#2: "An American Carol"
David Zucker is now satirizing Micheal Moore & "A Christmas Carol".
The trailer alone made laugh at the top of my lungs, witch means I
HAVE to see it!

#1: "Max Payne" I know that I was criticizing the trailer, but it's the first video game based movie I'm
interested in. It actually looks like that the filmmakers really give a crap about the
movie's quality. It doesn't look like it'll be great, but it looks like it might be the best
video game movie so far ever made. That, and Mark Wahlberg says that he "has to
play the role", so it could be pretty good.

G Man reviews "Merecenaries 2" (PS2)

It's here, "Mercenaries 2"! Does it have explosions? Yes. Is it on PS2? Yes.
Was it worth the year long wait & 60$ price tag? HELL NO!!

STORY

This is, of course, a sequel to "Mercenaries 1". You don't have to play the first game
to understand anything because this has very little references to the first game.
The plot involves any mercenary you pick being double crossed & shot in the
butt. The character survives decides to over throw the dictator that betrayed
you. I didn't expect the story to be great in a mercenaries game, but the developers
promised an interesting story. In the end, the story is so predictable that makes
"The cat n' the hat" look Shakespearian. Also, the humor from the first game is
missing. If you don't remember what I'm talking about, I'll explain. In the first
game, when ever a mission starts, you here Fiona on the radio & then the mercenary
would make some witty remark. In other words, not much humor.

GAME PLAY

The game play remains the same from the first game, only the missions aren't as
complicated. The thing sucks in this game is the new team mates. They are useless.
I really HATE how the stock pile works. Unlike the merchant of menace shop from
the original game, you can't just contact some one on the spot to bring in supplies,
vehicles & air strikes, you have to earn every thing one at a time. I played the ENTIRE
game with a shot gun! Where's the large verity that was promised by the advertisements?
I thought that there's supposed to be pistols, grenade launchers & other cool crap!
Back to the stock pile. So you have to bring in vehicles to home base so you can order
them in later. Why can't just order an endless supply on the spot like in the first
game? I also can't find motorcycles & other vehicles that weren't in the first game.
Let's get the graphics now, there the equivalent of a turd. enough said about the
graphics.

ENDING (spoilers!!!!)

So you simply just send a nuclear bomb to the base of solano (the evil dictator) &
the game shows a lousy ending with them talking about going to India. That's it.

OVER ALL

Don't buy this game. ONLY buy it if you want a game with big explosions.
If you want, buy the PS3 version when it's in the bargain bin.

G Man gives "Mercenaries 2: World in Flames" a "Terrible Three" out
of ten.

Rumor Has It....(Volume 2)

Rumor has that Terry Gilliam, the director of "Time Bandits ", "Brazil",
& "12 Monkeys", will be directing a film version of "The Good Omens".
The book was written by Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman. Supposedly,
Johny Depp & Robin Williams will star in the film, interesting choice
for a screen duo. I do hope it's made.

I'm the G Man, & I'll see later.
